2D DRAFTING
This is the process of creating a flat 2D drawing using a CAD system like AutoCAD. Items are manually created using the many drawing functions and then annotated accordingly.
3D MODELLING
3D modelling is the process of creating a 3D representation of any surface or object in simulated 3D space. With BIM, intelligent models are created which have additional information added.
PAPER TO 2D/3D
Simply converting a sketch, drawn idea or plan into a 2D technical drawing or into a 3D CAD model. This is where ideas come to life in a more professional format.
RECORD DRAWINGS
Record drawings or As Builts are created when a project is completed to reflect what has actually been built. Contractors will mark up drawings as a final issue and we will create record drawings from these showing the completed project. These are usually required for operations and maintenance manual prior to project sign off.
RED PEN MARKED UP DRAWINGS
We will receive drawings from contractors during the construction process that have been marked up showing any changes that have been made from the original copies. Many revision can occur as the project develops and is an on-going process until the construction phase finishes.
MEP SERVICES COORDINATION
A process of producing a 3D CAD model (BIM) of all consultant mechanical, electrical and plumbing services drawings then integrating them into the architectural BIM model of the building. The MEP services are then adjusted to the building fabric and designed to avoid clashes with each other through clash detection and reporting.
PLANT ROOM/RISER ELEVATIONS & COORDINATION
Plant room and riser coordination ensures all services can fit in confined spaces whilst still being accessible. Also ensures there are no clashes with services. This is increasingly being created in a 3D environment.
SCHEMATIC LAYOUTS
Schematics are produced to shows an overview of each MEP service within a building/project. Project services routes, sizes and floor locations are shown. As the project develops and changes occur the schematic is updated to reflect them. These are vital for project completion and ongoing maintenance.
FULLY DIMENSIONED WORKING DRAWINGS
For each MEP service 2D installation/construction drawings are produced from the coordinated BIM model. They contain full dimensions, setting out, invert levels and any other relevant information required by the contractor.
BUILDERS WORKS DRAWINGS
Builders work drawings include plinths for equipment, holes through walls/slabs for services and are complete with accurate setting out dimensions and invert levels.
PHOTO REALISTIC RENDERS
Photo realistic renders are CGI images produced by a computer. The images created can have multiple uses from the development of a concept product, exploded views, marketing purposes, architecture, interiors and landscapes that do not exist yet.
LANDSCAPE/ PLANNING
Birdseye 2D views of landscape designs to give prospective clients a clear visual image of what to expect from future garden works. As well as producing planning documentation along side architect drawings for future works
SURVEYS
Site surveys can be arranged if required. To aid coordination and validate design information a full site survey measuring building fabrics, structural elements and MEP services that could be remaining will be undertaken.
CAD Services Team
Our team will aim to take on any project regardless of size and simplicity using our wide range of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks to name a few). Outsourcing CAD work can be the most cost effective option for your business if workloads do not justify another full time salary. We are flexible with our terms and you will find our rates are cheaper than regular agency firms, as the work is done in-house. Alternatively, we can visit site to gather information required and work remotely at our office at a cheaper rate.
